New York, James Miller, 1854. 1st Edition, 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Hardcover. 90pp. Gilt embossed brown boards, gilt lettering and floral design to spine, 5 hand-colored engraved plates. Cover shows very slight wear, chipping to head and tail of spine, small insect holes to rear joint, binding is tight and sound, an occasional spot to text otherwise clean, 1864 inscription on front free endpaper, book is overall in a well-preserved condition. Good.

Front board detached but present, spine worn and chipped including one inch piece from head of spine, edges rubbed, text and engravings are in very good, unblemished condition. Profusely illustrated with meticulously detailed copperplate engravings. Good.

Nursery rhymes accompanied by tasteful, adorable illustrations. Good.
